LAKE PALO PINTO Breathtaking Lake Palo Pinto is on Palo Pinto Creek in the Brazos River basin eight miles northeast of Gordon. The lake was officially opened on November 13, 1965 and has a surface area of 2,661 acres. The drainage area above the dam is 471 square miles. The lake is surrounded by very large hills and a scenic drive. Lake Palo Pinto is a great recreational spot for water sports as well as fishing. |
