Gordon is a small town located 2 miles north of I-20 half-way between Dallas and Abilene.
Gordon has a population of 516 and is a great place to raise a family!
We are proud to have a good number of businesses for
the size of our town. We are just an hour away from DFW metroplex and all it has to
offer, but are set in a beautiful town located between 7 hills!!! Come see what we
have to offer - all the thrills of the bigger cities are within driving distance, water
recreational facilities are less than 1/2 hour away, a NCAA Division II University is
26 miles away, two Junior Colleges are less than 35 miles away, great medical facilities
are within 1/2 hour's drive - but we live in a quiet, peaceful town!
The Gordon Independent School District offers K-12 education. GISD is equipped with all of the
latest technology, the teachers set high standards
for the students and the students are very active in their academics and extra-curricular
activities. The school is classified by the UIL as Class 1A and competes in six-man football.
The Gordon Longhorns football team has enjoyed years of success,
winning two state championships in the last 10 years.

From Fort Worth, take I-20 West to the 374 Exit, go right on FM 193 for 2.5 miles.
From Abilene, take I-20 East to the 370 Exit, turn left under the overpass on FM 919 for 2 miles.
